The presentation speaks of the pre-March censorship in the Habsburg
Monarchy and the difficulties Anton Krempl had related to it as he published
his book Dogodivšine štajerske zemle (=Adventures of the Styrian Land).
Due to the comments of the censors, Krempl was forced to rewrite and copy
the book four times. According to Božidar Raić the third manuscript, today
kept in the University Library in Maribor, was the most controversial one. In
order to establish which changes in content and meaning were required by
the censorship, the authors of this paper made a detailed analysis of the
differences between the preserved third manuscript and the published fourth
version of the book.
