Avtorica predstavi 53 arhivskih fondov s področja zdravstva, ki jih hranijo slovenski javni arhivi. Ti s 1676,73 tekočimi metri gradiva predstavljajo dobra 2 % arhivske kulturne dediščine na Slovenskem. Osvetli zakonsko ureditev varstva, ki je vplivala na stanje ohranjenosti gradiva, zlasti na valorizacijo javnopravnih oseb s področja zdravstva, ki pri svoji dejavnosti ustvarjajo potencialno arhivsko gradivo. Poudari pomen živih stikov z ustvarjalci gradiva, zlasti pri valorizaciji njihovega gradiva in pripravi pisnih strokovnih navodil za odbiranje arhivskega gradiva. S tabelarno in grafično predstavitvijo omogoči pregled nad količino, vrsto in časom nastanka vsega ohranjenega gradiva po posameznih slovenskih arhivih.

      • The archival fonds of health care institutions in regional archives and the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia represents only 2% of all archival records managed by the Slovenian public archives; however, the frequency of their use for scientific and other purposes is gradually increasing. Therefore, it is very important to highlight this kind of archival records for a gradual and better understanding of the entirety. The appraisal of health care institutions, potential creators of archival records, in the second half of 1990s was especially important as compared to the one in the first half of the 1980s. Where previously only a few central Slovenian institutions were identified in this context, all public health care institutions, which provide health care services at the primary, secondary, and tertiary level, were henceforward designated as creators of archival records. The quantity of acquired archival records therefore significantly increased after 2000. Statutory issuance of written professional instructions for the selection of archival records from documents in 1999 was the next step to the legal regulation, which we have today. Slovenian archives keep 1676.73 linear meters of archival records, managed in 53 archival fonds. These are the fonds of health care centers, general and specialized hospitals, clinics and clinical institutes. The Archives of the Republic of Slovenia manages more than half of all records from the field of health care, while the regional archives keep records of health care centers, general and specialized hospitals, and sanatoriums.
