The Zapiski Delavsko-kmetske matice (Journal of the Workers and Peasants Society) monthly, published in 1925, was the first theoretical gazette of the forbidden Communist Party of Yugoslavia in the Yugoslav part of Slovenia. The monthly publication (four issues were published) declared the revolutionary standpoints of the Slovenian communists and underlined the pressing Slovenian national question in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, Kingdom of Italy, and Republic of Austria.
