On the basis of the minutes of meetings of the Kranjsko Provincial Assembly in 1893 and 1899 and the records of the Provincial Councilfrom 1893 to 1927 in the "IX/3 Vrhnika — Waterworks" loose-leaf binder, this paper describes the difficulties of the people in Vrhnika with drinking water and the efforts to persuade the Provincial Assembly to set up waterworks at Vrhnika and the Hrib village. Contaminated drinking water in both places was the source of various diseases such as cholera and typhoid fever.

      • Na podlagi sejnih zapisnikov deželnega zbora za Kranjsko leta 1893 in 1899 ter gradiva deželnega odbora od leta 1893 do 1927 v registraturnem fasciklu IX/3 Vrhnika — vodovod, smo v prispevku opisali težave s pitno vodo, ki so jih imeli Vrhničani, in večletni trud, da bi prepričali deželni zbor o nujnosti napeljave vodovoda na Vrhniki in v vasi Hrib. V obeh krajih je bila oporečna pitna voda vir različnih bolezni. Kolera in tifus sta bili dve izmed njih.
