In the first part of the paper, the author briefly describes some important developmental achievements of Slovene archivistes in the given period: the beginning of the publishing of the Arhivi magazine and the publication of archival material in the Viri series, introduction of lectures on archival science at the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, a large increase in the number of employees in the archives and better cooperation with the producers of archival materials; all this in time helped to increase the professionalism of archival activities in Slovenia. In the second part, the author includes some anecdotes about him and his colleagues from the executive committee of the Archival Association of Slovenia.
