Description
The article presents the contents of the "Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict", as well as the Second Protocol to the Convention, which came into force on March 3, 2004. It gives an overview of the most important parts of the convention, the purpose of which are preventive activities and protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict. The Blue Shield organisation is also presented, it endeavours for implementation and dissemination of the convention all over the world.

      • Članek predstavlja vsebino "Haaške konvencije o varstvu kulturnih dobrin v primeru oboroženega spopada" pa tudi novosti drugega protokola konvencije, ki je stopil v veljavo 9. 3. 2004. Obenem daje vpogled v najpomembnejše elemente konvencije, katere namen je preventivno delovanje in varovanje kulturnih dobrin ob morebitnem vojaškem spopadu. Predstavljena je tudi mednarodna organizacija Modri ščit, ki si prizadeva za uresničevanje ter poznavanje konvencije po vsem svetu.
