Description
The Supreme State Prosecutor General, previously the State Prosecutor of the Republic of Slovenia, has been the highest authority of the criminal prosecution in the Republic of Slovenia since the year 1995. The documentary materials of the Supreme State Prosecutor General have to be looked through and examined carefully and evaluated as well for the reason that the Supreme State Prosecutor General has resumed and carried on the work of the former "socialist" Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Slovenia. During the Second World War and throughout thefirst eight years after the war it was namely one of the most important political bodies or authorities in the Republic of Slovenia, as besides the criminal prosecution it also exercised the control over the lawfulness and legality in all the spheres of the sociai life.

      • Vrhovno državno tožilstvo, pred tem Državno tožilstvo Republike Slovenije, je najvišji organ kazenskega pregona v Republiki Sloveniji od leta 1995. Njegovo dokumentarno gradivo pa je treba skrbno pregledati in ovrednotiti tudi zato, ker nadaljuje delo "socialističnega" Javnega tožilstva. Med drugo svetovno in po njej je bil to namreč eden od najpomembnejših političnih organov pri nas, saj seje ukvarjal ne le s kazenskim pregonom, ampak je tudi nadzoroval zakonitost na vseh področjih družbenega življenja.
