Description
The contribution brings a theoretical historical research in which the authoress attempts to ascertain the significance of local history in primary schools programmes for history that were published between the years 1945 and 2005. She has found out that local history was more represented in instructions than in education goals and contents as the instructions referred mostly to school activities in domestic locality prior to 1991, and after 1991, mainly on choice or voluntary activities. The author proposes concrete ideas on how the studying of domestic localities or local history could increase with regular and out of school lessons in primary schools in Slovenia.
