Description
Kungota is first mentioned in 1328. The name of the feudal estate Ravno Polje - Ebensfeld appears in 1586, though there is testimony as the Vurberk affiliate of the estate already in 1265. The new fortress building of 1670 was constructed by Count Galler. The article indicates estate owners from the Ptuj lords, the Stubenbergs, Gallers, Sauers, Herbersteins and finally the Muzek family. Šentjanž also pertained to the Ravno Polje estate until 1917. The Ravno Polje district was composed of, as of 1754 census, 3737 serf houses in 28 settlements north and south of the Drava river. Their major litigation as to fishing rights in the Drava brought about the murder of count Jurij Günther Herberstein.

- Kungota je prvič omenjena 1328. Ime gospoščine Ravno polje- Ebensfeld pa se pojavi leta 1586, čeprav je že leta 1265 izpričana na desni strani Drave pristava gospostva Vurberk, ki je najbrž njegova zasnova. Novo grajsko stavbo je 1670 zgradil grof Galler. Članek navaja lastnike gospoščine od gospodov Ptujskih, Stubenbergov, Gallerjev, Sauerjev, Herbersteinov in zadnje družine Muzek. H gospoščini Ravno polje je spadal do leta 1917 tudi Šentjanž. Okraj Ravno polje je po popisu hiš iz leta 1754 štel 373 podložniških hiš v 28 krajih severno in južno od Drave. Ravno polje in Vurberk sta bili sosednji gospoščini na desnem in levem bregu Drave. Njun večni spor zaradi ribolovnih pravic v Dravi je privedel leta 1677 do uboja grofa Jurija Günterja Herbersteina.
