The authoress, by deriving from archival material, newspaper soruces and literature, depicts the history of the National Hall in Maribor between 1898 and today. She also describes the situation in Maribor as of the 1860s, enabling the construction of the National Hall. The role and the significance of National Hall, during its 100 year history, changed with regard to the political and cultural situation in Maribor. Basic characterics of the various time periods of the National Hall, as of the »Palace of Maribor Slovenes« to the present Cultural-Centre National Hall, are depicted.

- Avtorica je na podlagi arhivskega gradiva, časopisnih virov in literature prikazala zgodovino Narodnega doma v Mariboru v letih 1898 do danes. Hkrati je označila tudi razmere v Mariboru od šestdesetih let 19. stoletja dalje, ki so omogočale izgradnjo doma. Vloga in pomen Narodnega doma sta se skozi 100-letno zgodovino spreminjala glede na politične in kulturne razmere v Mariboru. Predstavljeni so kratki poudarki iz posameznih obdobij Narodnega doma od nastanka "palače mariborskih Slovencev" do današnjega Kulturno-prireditvenega centra Narodni dom.
