Description

The article is written primarily on the basis of reports in various newspapers and it presents a review of festivities in lower Styria as of the middle of the XIX century until 1991. The Trans-Mura region is also partly considered. The festivities of ruling personalities and houses, Maj 1st (May Day), significant cultural, scientific and political events and personalities and churches are considered. Characteristics of celebarations in various time periods and various social systems, as well as at time of war, are considered. All these conditions had an impact upon the iconography of festivities.

      • Članek je napisan predvsem na podlagi poročil posameznih časopisov in predstavlja pregled praznikov v spodnji Štajerski začenši s sredino XIX. stoletja, obsegajoč obdobje do 1991. Delno je obravnavano tudi Pomurje. Predmet obravnave so praznovanja vladajočih osebnosti in hiš, prvi maj, pomembni kulturni, znanstveni in politični dogodki ter osebnosti in cerkve. Značilnosti praznovanj v posameznih obdobjih in posameznih družbenih sistemih, kot tudi v času vojne so tudi predmet obravnave. Vsi ti pogoji so vplivali na ikonografijo praznovanj.
