Dr. Pavel Turner is one of the few Slovenes who attained cosmopolitan glamour, culture and financial success, while at the same time remaining nationally conscious and active. His personality was that of an educator, mentor and guardian, and he figures in Slovene history as a unique example of a patron of the highest class. He had a strong and erudite personality with a great influence on his fellow men. He also knew how to establish himself in the highest European scientific, political and state circles, some of whose members he educated himself.
