Description
After the explanation of his comprehension of Partisan free and so-called half-free territories the author finds out that in Slovene Styrla real free territories existed only in the year 1944. The article treats in a condensed way the formation of free territories in the valleys of the Upper Savinja and of the Zadrec, in Kozjansko and on the Pohorje. The free territories were fought out by the 4th operative zone of the National Liberation Troops and the Partisan Detachments of Slovenia at the time of the greatest swing of the National Liberation Struggle in Styrla.

- Avtor po obrazložitvi svojega pojmovanja partizanskih svobodnih in tako imenovanih polsvobodnih ozemelj ugotavlja, da so bila na slovenskem Štajerskem prava svobodna ozemlja le v 1944. letu. Prispevek strnjeno obravnava nastanek svobodnih ozemelj v Gornji Savinjski in Zadrečki dolini, na Kozjanskem in na Pohorju. Svobodna ozemlja so v fazi največjega razmaha narodnoosvobodilnega boja na Štajerskem izbojevale enote 4. operativne cone NOV In POS. Avtor prikaze tudi pomen svobodnih ozemelj na Štajerskem, probleme v zvezi z njimi in njihov konec v času nemških ofenzivnih operacij od druge polovice oktobra do konca leta 1944.
