Časopis za zgodovino in narodopisje

The article treats the libraries — the teachers' library and the students' one — of the grammar-school of Maribor since 1758, when it was established by the Jesuits, their development up to the break-down of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy in the year 1918 and the status in the new State up to the nazi occupation in the year 1941. Especially with the rich funds of classical philology and literature, but also with the works of other humanistic sciences they took part in forming the teachers as well as the students of the institution mentally.
