Description
The author is publishing the text of a petition to the Austrian emperor
in the German original and in the present Slovene translation, which had
been compiled at the end of March or at the beginning of April 1848 by
Matija Majar, a Carinthian Slovene from Ziljska dolina, then chaplain
at Celovec. In it he demanded a United Slovenia, equality of rights for
the Slovene language and union with Croatia. At the same time he solves
some problems of the sources from newspapers and correspondences for
the Slovene history of that year.

- Avtor objavlja v nemškem originalu in sedanjem slovenskem prevodu besedilo peticije avstrijskemu cesarju, ki jo je s koncem marca ali na začetku aprila 1848 sestavil Matija Majar, koroški Slovenec iz Ziljske doline, tedaj kaplan v Celovcu, in v njej zahteval Zedinjeno Slovenijo, enakopravnost slovenskega jezika in zvezo s Hrvatsko. Obenem rešuje nekatere probleme časopisnih in korespondenčnih virov za slovensko zgodovino tega leta.
