In the paper the description of Jurklošter bondsmen resistence is given.
They resisted to transfer the compulsory service into some other payments
in the period from 1783 to 1795. On the base of the Emperor décret from
10. II. 1783 the Inner Austrian abolition commission just in that year
entered into negotiations with under mentioned bondsmen, but majority
of them refused the labour service and the compensation of it as well.
The compensation as much as they offered it at all was not in any proportion
with the really worth of labour service. In 1785 the bondsmen
wanted to rent the labour service for a moderate sum, but that for the
domain did not be acceptable. In that year the negotiations between
domain and bondsmen come to crisis. With the both side compromise in
the 1787 the contract of abolition with the part of bondsmen was folded.
With other part of them it had been done in 1794. The bondsmen attained
that they paid the labour service In cash and not with corn what before
was regulated. With that they brought their essential claims forward, and
because of dévalorisation in the following decades that payments became
unimportant tax. The domain with agreement of government accepted that
solution because of avoid constant conflicts with bondsmen.
