Lujo Vojnović (1864–1951) was a Croatian lawyer, writer, publicist, and politician. He was a connoisseur of the history and culture of Dalmatia and Italy, and during the Paris Peace Conference, he participated in the ethnographic section of the Yugoslav Committee. Yugoslav politicians did not always agree with his views on the Adriatic issue. His demarcation proposals were considered the most unacceptable, including for the Rapall conference, where he did not participate. In 1921, he was assigned as a member and chairman of the delegation of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes to negotiate open cultural, ecclesiastical issues, and education matters. This negotiation is also known as the cultural convention, which is an agreement on the repatriation of cultural heritage between two countries based on Article 8 of the Treaty of Rapallo. Talks in Rome were suspended after the first meeting due to the inactivity of the Italian delegation.
