Description

Based on newly discovered archival documents and relevant literature, this paper offers a comprehensive presentation of the life of Jernej Basaj. From a humble peasant background in Carniola, Basaj rose to the rank of general and attained the title of baron through his dedication and bravery in the mid-eighteenth-century war campaigns.
