Description
In the present work, based on rich newspaper and electoral sources, literature and personal interviews with the actors, I enlighten the expeditions in which they participated, aimed at a mountain peak higher than 7000 m. Special emphasis is placed on two Slovenian women’s mountaineering expeditions, which took place in the late 1970s and early 1980s and were attended by some Slovenian women who continued to conquer 7,000 and 8,000 meters in their further mountaineering careers.
