Description
The paper deals with the modern history of the Alpine-Adriatic region after World War II (1945-1991). First it defmes and sketches the main problems and events in this period. Due to national minorities living on both sides of the border, its direct as well as indirect involvement in the cold war, and its position on the crossroads of two different worlds, the world of communism on one and the world of bourgeois, middle-class values on the other hand, this region Iargely determined the development of at least Central Europe. The second part of the treatise deals with events connected with the stipulation of Slovene-Italian border.

- Prispevek pregledno obravnava sodobno, povojno zgodovino regije Alpe-Jadran (1945-1991). Uvodoma določa in orisuje glavne probleme ter dogajanja tega časa. Gre namreč za področje, ki je v mnogočem: zaradi obstoja narodnih manjšin na obeh straneh meje, zaradi neposredne in posredne vpletenosti v hladno vojno in zaradi lege na stičišču komunističnega in meščanskega sveta, determiniralo razvoj vsaj v srednji Evropi. V drugem deluje opisano dogajanje ob oblikovanju slovensko italijanske meje.
