Decisions that affect the wider community and involve more stakeholders than just archives are highlighted. Also presented are the periodicals published by the Society, which bring scientific and professional contributions from the field of archival science. Among the fundamental tasks of the Society are the professional training and education of archival workers, which are demonstrated through the organization of seminars and also through efforts to establish a regular university program of archival science. The efforts of the Society at the international level in connection with the restitution of archival materials are also discussed, as well as professional initiatives such as interarchival working groups, which are successfully implemented in the profession.
