The article discusses the development of the republic’s administrative bodies in the field of the economy from 1990 to the present day. After the first post-war multi-party and democratic elections, a new government was formed in the spring of 1990, with several secretariats in charge of the economy. After the independence of Slovenia in 1991, the secretariats were replaced by ministries. Gradually, different departments were combined into one ministry responsible for the economy, with some of its administrative areas constantly changing (technology, energy, mining). The article also lists the ministers who headed individual ministries, constituent bodies and executive institutions.
