Description
Analyzed are the beginnings of ski jumping in Slovenia and their transformation into one of the strongest Slovene winter sports, a sport that became recognized all over the world during the first ski jumping championship in Planica in 1934. Especially interesting are the descriptions of the origins and development of the giant ski jump in Planica, of important championships and of the administrative battles for the recognition of Planica and ski flying as a new sports discipline.

      • Avtor obravnava začetke smučarskih skokov v Sloveniji in njihov razvoj iz smučarsko obrobne discipline, ki s prvo prireditvijo v Planici leta 1934 dobi značaj svetovnih razsežnosti. Posebej zanimivo je natančno osvetljevanje nastajanja planiške velikanke, opisi zelo odmevnih prireditev in obravnavanje administrativnega boja za priznanje Planice in poletov kot nove smuške discipline.
