Description
The article reviews the life and work of the students and professors of the baron Erberg’s
family. Erbergs were among the most important Carniolan Jesuits. The special concern was put
on their research in the mathematical sciences. The last peripatetic textbook and also the first
promotion of Newton’s physics in the college of Ljubljana was due to Erbergs.

- Raziskali smo dela jezuitskih študentov in profesorjev iz rodu baronov Erbergov. Pokazali smo, da so bili Erbergi med najpomembnejšimi kranjskimi jezuiti. Posebno nas je zanimalo njihovo raziskovanje matematičnih ved. Dokazali smo, da so bili Erbergi med zadnjimi nasprotniki in tudi med prvimi pobudniki Newtonove fizike v Ljubljani.
