V prispevku je zajet zgodovinski pregled delovanja geodetske službe na slovenskem ozemlju s posebnim ozirom na območje sedanje Upravne enote Ptuj v drugi polovici 20. stoletja. Članek na kratko povzema zgodovinski razvoj geodetske službe konec 19. in prve polovice 20. stoletja, medtem ko sta podrobneje predstavljena organizacija geodetskih služb kot institucij in njihovo delovanje na temelju zakonodaje v drugi polovici 20. in na začetku 21. stoletja. Vzorčno izpostavljena institucija Geodetska uprava Ptuj prikazuje delovanje območne geodetske službe v drugi polovici 20. stoletja na ptujskem območju.

      • The article covers a historical overview of the activities of the Surveying and Mapping Authority on Slovenian territory, with particular reference to the area of the current Ptuj Administrative Unit in the second half of the 20th century. It briefly summarizes the historical development of the surveying service at the end of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century. On the other hand, the article more thoroughly presents the organization of surveying services as institutions and their activities based on legislation in the second half of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century. The example of the institution Surveying and Mapping Authority Ptuj shows the activities of the regional surveying services in the second half of the 20th century in the Ptuj area.
