Description
The article discusses military judicial authority archival records from the period between 1943 and 1991, i. e. archival records of military criminal courts of the partisan movement between 1943 and 1945 and military judicial authorities’ archival records after the end of the Second World War pertaining to the Yugoslav Army and the Yugoslav People’s Army until year 1991. The assessment of the preservation state of these archival records was conducted on the basis of registering archival records at the military archives in the Republic of Serbia, which was performed by the expert group of archivists from the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia following the provisions of the succession of archival records of the former mutual state of Yugoslavia. The article describes the approach to registering records, as a precondition for a suitable assessment of records’ preservation, identification of authorities, their historical placement and an analysis and presumption about the state of preserved records of military judicial authorities.
