Description
The article critically evaluates the report of the three experts (»Wise men«) of the European Union on the status of minorities in Austria, and ascertains that it is full of inconsistencies and shortcomings, resulting from the discrepancy between the legislation and actual state, or from panial measures concerning only certain minorities. There is a danger that Austria might take advantage of this report and use it as an international recognition of its minority protection. Therefore, minorities should make every effort to turn the inconsistencies and shortcomings in the repon to their benefit.

- Prispevek kritično obravnava poročilo »modrecev« Evropske unije o položaju manjšin v Avstriji in ugotavtja, da je polno nedoslednosti in pomanjkljivosti, ki izhajajo iz razkoraka med pravno osnovo in dejanskim stanjem oziroma iz sektorialnih ukrepov, ki zadevajo samo nekatere manjšine. Obstaja nevarnost, da bo Avstrija to poročilo izkoristila in ga uveljavljana kot mednarodno priznanje svoji zaščiti manjšin, zato se morajo manjšine potrudili, da nedoslednosti in pomanjkljivosti v poročilu obrnejo sebi v prid.
