The paper deals with Rev. Jurij Trunk (1870 - 1973), a Catholic priest and writter in Carinthia. He was an active participant in Slovene national movement. As such, he was highly suspicious to the Austrian authorities. He was charged with espionage on behalf of Italians, and signalling them from his church at Perova/=Perau near Beljak/=Villach. He was imprisoned in Beljak/=Villach and got suspended from his position as parish priest. When he was acquitted of all charges, he was sent to Jezersko/=Seeland to serve as assistant priest. Before the end of World War I., he took over a parish in Borovlje/=Ferlach.
