Description
The article explores the development of seigniories in the area of Tržič in Upper Carniola. In the High Middle Ages, the area belonged to the Carniolan margravial seigniory, of which only a small part remained in the Late Middle Ages. In the fifteenth century, what was left of the seigniory was divided between two noble families – the Lambergs and Paradeisers – which had already started to consolidate their positions in the area a century before that.
