In master thesis is presented impact of the propaganda in Third Reich. The film is defined as a valuable historical source and its using value is shown. The thesis contains the theoretical basis on which relies practical part – analysis of the Leni Riefenstahl's films. She was Hitler's personal film direktor and her four documentary propaganda films were based on Hitler's instructions and made for purposes of the Nazi party. They were very cleverly used by Joseph Goebbels in his propaganda strategy. The thesis consists of three parts: first one is about film and history of the film, the second deals with propaganda and in the last are represented life of Leni Riefenstahl and analyses of her films. It is captured period between 1933 and 1938. The thesis also includes a brief overview of Nazi party propaganda organisation during the twenties of the previous century and until Nazis seizure the power. That is also period in which Leni Riefenstahl made her films ordered by Hitler. Three of them (Victory of the faith, Triumph of the Will and The day of Freedom! Our army!) were filmed in Nuremberg, the last one (Olympia) was made in Berlin. Triumph of the Will (1934) is the most important propaganda, ideological and political film, but Aryan race ideology is the most evident in the Olympia (1938).
