The paper, based on articles and short notices published in the newspapers Goriška straža, Edinost and Ženski svet between 1922-1928, briefly presents the Slovenian Women's Society in Gorica. This society was established on 24 September 1922 by the Slovenian women of Gorica. Its main goal was to educate women with the help of lectures and useful courses, and to support poor children and widows. The society had three different sections: an entertainment section, a charitable section and a handicraft section. It organised annual St. Nicholas' Eve Parties, observed the Christmas holiday with poor children, organized language and handicraft courses, a dancing party, and in 1924 an exhibition of handmade items which met with a wide response. Like all other Slavic societies in Italy, it was dissolved in 1927.
