Description
The first century and a half of the development of modern science in our lands was discussed. The active role of the researchers from the lands inhabited by Slovenes was claimed. The work of our early students of the mathematical sciences was examined and compared with their contemporaries at Rome and other Italian colleges. For the very first time in the historiography we researched the preserved manuscripts of the professors of mathematics and physics. The beginning of the mathematical science in Ljubljana was researched until the reception of Bošković’s physics.
