The contribution presents the building development of the renaissance manor Brdo from its known beginnings in the 15th and 16th centuries, through the baroque period and ownership of the Zois family, to the end of the 19th century. Large reconstructions during the period of Prince Pavel Karađorđević are presented in particular and equally. The works were conducted by the architect Aleksandar Đorđević, and landscape architect Cecil Pincent who revalued the manor into a villa with gardens. Added is a description of several rebuildings after 1950 under the guidance of the architect Vinko Glanz, additions by the architect Igor Lunaček, and other authors from the period of Josip Broz Tito. Also added is an inventory of renovations from after the attainment of independence of Slovenia to the year 2003.
