Description
The author discusses the development of shipbuilding at Piran in the final two centuries of the Middle Ages. He has established that this activity was very vivid, because it was also linked with the role of Piran in maritime connections between the hinterland and Italy. The author has described the shipbuilding at Piran and he has shown the shipbuilders who came to Piran also from the Slovene hinterland.
