The article treats, on the basis of widely collected material and literature dealing with this subject, the National Liberation Struggle in Slovene Istria in the year 1943. In that same year, the national liberation movement established widely spread organizations, such as The Liberation Front, The Slovene Communist Party etc., and founded some partisan unities in Istria, such as The Slovene Istrian Brigade and The Istrian Detachment. A closer contact with the Croation national movement was also established. Thus the rising, which included the whole nation, together with the free territory represented the first climax of the national liberation movement. The second was reached in summer 1944. In the notes the author also corrects some mistakes in the book Slovene Istria in the Liberation Struggle.
