On the basis of literature the author gives a short survey of the political and administrative development in the Savinja Valley, as well as of the ecclesiastic-administrative development in the central part of the valley in the Middle Age. He cites all the dominions of Polzela known according to the sources. On the basis of the records, especially from the fund of the Maltese Knight’s Order in the Central State Archives in Prague the author describes the economic development of the prebend from the middle of the 16th century until it was sold in 1779 — according to the kept material. On the basis of the inspective registers from the years 1678 and 1757 he gives particulary the data on the ecclesiestical outfit of the parish in Polzela, incorporated into the prebend, and its branches.
