The article presents the main tendencies of the town-growth in Slovenia from the mid-18th till the mid-19th century. The author states that the number of towns remained unchanged during that time. The number of population was at a standstill until the 30’s of the 19th century. Compared to the previous period the social structure of the towns did not basically change.
