The article deals with the portal in the vestibule of a one-time house at Novi trg No. 6 owned by Count Orfeo Strassold; the portal was probably made in 1712 by a stonecutter named Luka Mislej according to the idea of Carl Martinuzzi, the architect. The author of the man’s head with a hat at the top of the portal was the sculptor Angelo Putt from Padua. The so-far likely anonymous portal in the house of Baron Augustin Codelli at Breg No. 20 dates back to the end of the forties of the 18th century. As regards its style it can be placed among the works of the sculptor Francesco Roba. Both findings open interesting views upon some other baroque monuments in Ljubljana.
