Description
Sports organizations in Ljubljana commenced in the second half of the 19th century, but came into full swing only after World War I. That can be seen from the tables for the period before World War I, and between the two World Wars. Just as well the expression sport was given its content from between the two wars, and the activity itself was swiftly carried into effect in the Ljubljana public. The article is supplemented with a review (by name) of sports organizations or clubs in Ljubljana between the two World Wars.

      • Športne organizacije so začeli v Ljubljani ustanavljati v drugi polovici 19. stoletja, razmahnile pa so se šele po prvi svetovni vojni. To vidimo tudi iz preglednic za obdobji pred prvo svetovno vojno in med obema svetovnima vojnama. Prav tako se je med obema svetovnima vojnama vsebinsko oblikoval izraz šport, dejavnost pa se je v ljubljanski javnosti hitro uveljavila. Članku smo dodali poimenski prgled športnih organizacij ali klubov v Ljubljanimed obema svetovnima vojnama.
