In the article the author deals with the little known efforts of the Prekmurje Protestants concerning the mobilization of their own financial sources for the schooling of their youth. He describes in detail the scope and the contents of three scholarship foundations which had been brought into life by will of three respectful Prekmurje Slovenes — Matija Temlin, Adam Farkas, and Nikolaj Gomboc.
