The author discusses the foundation of the župa of Bled as a territorialadministrative unit of the newly setted Old Slavs. The author also presents the development of its economy, population and society and explains the beginning of the early feudal Old Slavic class society. The župa was destroyed in the third quarter of the 10th century. In its centre a king’s estate was formed but it soon disintegrated. The major part of it went in 1004 to the Brixen bishop Albuin.
