Description

The first decade of the 20th century was very successful for the economic of Budkovič's shop, opened in 1901 in Bohinjska Bistrica. He used to his advantage the building of the Bohinj railway and the tunnel,and the prosperity of tourism. Budkovič was selling by attractive prices everything for the needs of people and animals: provisions, fancy goods, kitchenware, products made of textile, glass, wood,paper, building matelials, machines etc. The customers could order from catalogues of eminent shopsitems he did not have in stock. As secretary of the sports and bath society Danica he cooperated in arranging the park the bath and the sledding in Bohinjska Bistrica. With acquirement of several plots of ground he expanded his activity to farming.

      • Prvo desetletje 20. stoletja bilo zelo uspešno za poslovanje Budkovičeve trgovine, odprte leta 1901 v Bohinjski Bistrici. Izkoristil je čas gradnje bohinjske železniške proge in predora ter razcvet turistične dejavnosti. Po ugodnih cenah in na kredit je prodajal skoraj vse za potrebe ljudi in živali: prehrambene izdelke, galanterijo, posodo, izdelke iz tekstila, steklo, les, papir, gradbeni material stroje itd. Tistega,česar v trgovini ni imel na zalogi, so lahko kupci pri njem naročili iz katalogov eminentnih trgovin. Kottajnik športnega in kopališčnega društva Danica je sodeloval pri ureditvi parka, kopališča in sankališča vBohinjski Bistrici. S pridobitvijo več zemljišč je svojo dejavnost razširil tudi na kmetijstvo.
