Description
On the basis of the preserved cadastral records (from the Historical Record Office of SR Slovenia) and the parish registry books (from the Archbishop’s Archives of Ljubljana and the parish archives of Stari trg by Lož), the author tries to present a lively picture of the ownership, society etc. of this village leading a quiet and secluded life in the valley under Snežnik. The formation of the village from a numerical unit into an independent cadastral commune took place at the time of the central authorities’ intervention in smaller administrative units, i.e. when a cadastral commune became the basic unit for cadastral registration.
