Description
On the basis of archives, held in the Record Office of the SR of Slovenia, the author deals with the status and development of the Principal Arsenal in Ljubljana. He discusses its foundation, different jobs and crafts it disposed with, the types of arms, powder and munition and the stores of the arsenal itself. The author underlines that the arsenal represents the central provision of arms for all Carniola and Croatia. ,t was connected with a number of economic branches (wood-industry, charcoal, mining and metal foundry industry and commerce), representing a considerable part in the armament of Carniola.
