At »Načelnik« in Podkoren, the author found home archives, which originate from the former cottage at Kavec. The greater part of the documents dates back to the 19th century. Seven ofthem are from the 17th and 18th centuries and these have been dealt with by the author. Most ofthese are letters concerned in which married daughters confirmed that their dowry had been paid and that from then on they had no more claims to the home. By using other archival sources the author was able to construct the family tree from the end of 16th to the middle of the 18th century. He explained their family name (these are village weavers) and partly reconstructed their material status.
