Description
The author chronologically presents the preservation ofthe archives at Ptuj, mentions some older data and describes the situation at the end of the 19th century, when the Museum Society was founded in the city, and started to collect historical objects and also archives. In the period between the two world wars there were room and employees problems, but the conditions improved rapidly after the World War II., when a specialized organisation, Municipal Archives Ptuj, was founded.
