Description
The article deals with the origins of planning and construction in medieval Ljubljana and the town's further development with regard to urbanisation and style (trends), and construction work over the centuries. The article presents typical and stately buildings in Ljubljana, as depicted in selected construction and urbanisation plans, maps, photographs and postcards stored in the Historical Archives ofLjubljana. By using only archive material, however, a complete survey of the architecture of Ljubljana during this period cannot be obtained.
