At the 1923 parliamentary election, the Germans of the Kočevje region and their main political organisation in the 1920s - Gottscheer Bauernpartei, supported the Radical party whose candidate was not elected. In 1925 and 1927 they gave their votes to the Slovene People's Party, and in the 1930s to the governmental lists of Živkovič, Jevtič and Stojadinović. The candidates of those lists were elected in the Kočevje district. In 1931, the candidate Ivan Pucelj in the Kočevje district was replaced by Dr. Hans Arko, an inhabitant of the Kočevje region. The Gottscheer Zeitung, a newspaper of the inhabitants of the Kočevje region, covered the elections.
