The article deals with the cycle of paintings, originating from the first half of the 18th Century. The paintings were done in lwo phases. The first, consisting of fifteen paintings, is ascribed to an anonymous painter, and the second, with three Works, probably originales from the Strauss workshop in Slovenj Gradec. Both artists more or less strictly followed the example of illustrations in the Biography of Saint Anthony, published in 1698 by Johann Kauffmann and illustrated with fifty-three cooper engravings by a master from Augsburg, Andreas Matthäus Wolffgang (which were styled after the drawings of the famous painter Johann Friedrich Perretti from Salzburg). They also styled their work after some other graphics.
