Description

The contribution shows thè history of thè circus Irom its Foundation in the 18th Century until the First World War. Although we become acquainted with the development ol the circus in world-wide measure thè aim ol thè article is to show the development ol "entertainment industry" in Ljubljana. The town had Irom the eighties ol the 19th Century on its own entertainment place in the park Tivoli, by the Lattermann colonnade. Despite the fact that it was provincial, great circuses, even some greatest, visited the place.
